Education in the Czech republic and in the Great Britain
School attendance in the Czech republic is from the age of 6 to 15, while in the Great Britain is the school attendant from the age 5 to 16.
At the age of 15 pupils in the Czech republic can choose among a vyriaty of secondary schools: grammar schools, special schools, vocational schools whereas pupils in the Great Britain starts secondary school from the age over 11, and they can choose comprehensive shool or grammar school. In our secondary schools we are learning czech, maths, foreign language (English, German, French, Spanish or Latin), sports. In the grammar schools is learning moreover: history, biography, geography, technology, chemists, music, art and science. In the special schools is learning moreover : economy, book – keeping, statistics and laws. And in the vocational schools is learning moreover only professional subjects.Meanwhile in the British secondary schools pupils are learning: English, Maths, Science, Technology, History, Geography, Art, PE and foreign languages.
In the Czech republic are grammar and specialized schools finished with a school – leaving examination, and in the Great Britain the principal examination at about the age of 16 is the General of Secondary Education.
After the finisch of secondary school the czech students can start proceed to the univesity. For example: University by Charles IV in Prague, Masaryk university in Brno, Palacký university in Olomouc or Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem. And the british students can go to the Oxford, Cambridge, Redbrick universities in London, Druham and Manchester, and they can go to the new uniersities in the Sussex, York and Kent.
