Travelling

For most people travelling means visiting places of interest within their own or in country foreign countries. If the country you want to visit isn´t very far, you can travel by car, bus or train. But if the country is very distant or overseas, you have to take a plane. Travelling by air is the most convenient and fastest way to go to distant countries, but also the most expensive. If you travel by air you have to submit to some restrictions, like a weight limit on your luggage or no smoking on board. People often train overseas by plane.

I think that many people like travelling and I belong to them. But there exists one group of people, who hate travelling and packing. The best is that we can find out a plenty of beautiful places and meet many people or friends and we obtain experiences for our life. We can spend our holiday near the sea or in the mountains. There we can borrow bikes and go to the nature. Our holiday can be educational and cultural. Sometimes people enroll in some language courses.

Travelling is associated with holidays. Nearly all of Europe is on the move in the summer. Some people like to go to the coast, stay in hotel in seaside resorts where they have half or full board. They spend lot of their time on the beach to enjoy sunbathing and swimming.

The most popular destinations are beaches in Greece, Turkey, Spain, Italy or more exotic such as the Egypt, Mallorca or Kreta. People, who travel hier like sunbathing, swimming and they want to go sightseeing too. They go on sightseeing tours of a town, the castle, the cathedral or gallery.

For some people is travelling an everyday duty if they work in bussiness or sport. They visit many countries, but they don´t see the beautiful places. They go to the airport to the venue, sleeping in hotel and going back at home.

People who live in large cities often like to get away and enjoy the peace and quit of the countryside. They stay in village cottages, enjoy tranquillity and occasionaly go for a stroll. Other people prefer hiking or camping in the wild.

From time to time nearly every family spared money for spending their summer abroad. When we go abroad we usually must get necessary documents. First of all is a valid passport,  besides we must change money in a bank or in a exchange-office. It is also good to know some foreign language.

I was with my parents in Croatian, Italy, Spain or Tunis, but 4 years ago, we started spend our holiday in the Czech republic. We go to Jizerské mountain and go sightseeing in the nearest surroundings.  We ride a bike sometimes, because it is faster and we can see monuments in remoter environs too.

I think travelling is still very popular activity in the 20th century. People all around the world travel for various reasons – they like travelling because it is exciting to see new places, meet new people and friends, and see the different way of life in various countries, some of them travel for cultural or scientific reasons, some on business. Travelling is always a big experience but on the other hand it can be also quite dangerous – we can meet bad people, we can get lost, our money can be stolen or we can be murdered.
